Lifeguard Certification and Training Requirements
Lifeguard / First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
Lifeguard certification courses are taught by American Red Cross certified instructors. Participants learn to respond to water and land emergencies, to provide first aid care, and the responsibilities of a professional lifeguard. Participants also learn to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants in addition to learning how to properly use an AED on a victim of cardiac arrest. Successful completion of the course results in ARC Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED certifications. All participants must be 15 years of age prior to the completion of the course. Certification is valid for two years.

• A $50.00 cancellation fee will be assessed for any registration canceled 72 hours or less prior to the beginning of class. This includes any student who is unable to pass the initial swimming test. This is up to the discretion of the instructor and may be at an additional cost.
These courses are a blended format meaning part of the work must be done online prior to attending the on-site training portion. Once you register and pay, an email will be sent to you giving you a link and instructions on how to complete this.
You must have already made proper arrangements with the Progressive Pool Management, Inc. Leadership Team prior to your first day of the course if you are participating in our pay as you work program to cover the costs of the training course.
